Infant Toddler Program
We have elected to use our education and skills to develop a developmentally appropriate infant/toddler program for Tot Spot infants and toddlers ranging in age from 12 to 30 months. This program is in no way structured like our preschool program and our infants and toddlers learn predominantly through play with plenty of free choice in safe and well planned out environments providing them with opportunities to make decisions. However, our infants and toddlers are also introduced to educarer facilitated activities and routines, some of these activities include, but are not limited to, colors, shapes, alphabets, stories, songs, chants, rhymes, music, and puppet and felt board presentations. ["Infants and toddlers are different because they are completely dependent on their caregivers not just for their safety and health, and well-being but for the organization of their life." "...babies need a dance partner or a responsive environment." Todd Risley, Professor Emeritus of Psychology, University of Alaska, Anchorage ]
There are also times, throughout the day, when our infants and toddlers mix with both preschool aged children and school aged children.
