School Year 2009-2010 Session
Monday, August 24, 2009 - Friday, June 11, 2010

Children will be involved in a variety of activities designed to enhance their learning - yet in a fun and creative way - and using a hands-on approach. These activities will include preschool curricula such as arts and crafts, sensory and motor development skill building, math and science skill building, language and pre-literacy skill building, social and cognitive development skill building, and of course, the most basic learning tool - PLAY.

Preschool Schedule

Late Morning Curriculum 3: Introduction to Math by introducing children to Geometric Shapes, Objects, Measurements, Transformations, Symmetry, Patterns, Textures and Forms, and Similarities.

11:30 p.m.
Preschool Session Ends - Preschool ONLY Pickups.
Please note the subtle effect of the curricula: For instance, with respect to the different curricula noted above (i.e. Curriculum III), we continually introduce the preschoolers to basic academic areas but in an enthusiastic and non-pressuring manner, which will enhance their abilities with reading readiness, math, and science, as well as to further develop their social skills to better prepare them for kindergarten.

*Circle Time is a transition period as well as a time when children and teachers socialize about the community. We discuss issues and events such as about the people who live and work in a community. Also, the children socialize about who they live with. We utilize this time to read and discuss stories, or to perform puppet shows and discuss the show before transitioning to either Art and Crafts, Music and Movement, or any other Curricula.
